- Overview
This guide set out how The Hospital Research Foundation Group Giving Day campaign (“Campaign”) works.
The Campaign includes a matched giving component, where eligible donations may be matched by lead donors as outlined below.
- Matched Giving
2.1 How Matching Works
During the Campaign period, donations made by supporters may be matched dollar-for-dollar by lead donors, up to a specified total matching amount (“Matching Pool”). Lead donors are existing supporters of The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRFG) who have generously agreed to provide matching donations for our Campaign.
2.2 Matching Cap
Matching applies only until the total Matching Pool amount is achieved. Once this limit is reached, donations can still be made however they will not be matched. The final Matching Pool amount will be announced via our website at 5pm on 10th June 2026.
2.3 Eligible Donations
Only donations received during the Campaign period are eligible for matching.
Gift match donations must be received by THRFG by 5pm on 10th June 2026 to be eligible for the Matching Pool.
2.4 Timing and Availability
Matching is available from the Campaign start time and will cease when either:
- the Matching Pool amount is achieved, or
- the Campaign period ends at 9pm ACST or your local state time zone (whichever is later),
whichever occurs first.
- Transparency and Use of Funds
3.1 Purpose of the Campaign
All funds raised through the Campaign (including matched funds) will be used to support medical research and patient care as communicated on our Campaign website.
3.2 Exceeding the Matching Pool
If donations exceed the Matching Pool, additional funds will still be gratefully accepted and applied to the Campaign purpose but will not be matched.
